Tears literally came to my eyes as my heart melted with goosebumps raised.

I decided to take a quick little nap this morning.

I thought it was a lovely idea because naps are not easy to come by.

As I slept for a good hour or so, I had an awful, horrific, confusing, impossible dream,

But you know what?

When I woke up I realized that the dream really brought everything about life into focus.

It is tricky to explain because it is not as if life has really seemed to be off focus .

Maybe I just have been wearing a slightly wrong prescription of lens.

Whatever the reason, I am grateful for that awful, horrific, confusing, impossible dream.

I am grateful to have moments of clarity where everything seems to make complete sense again.

It's funny how perspective chooses to manifest itself.

All I needed was simply to take a nap.

Who knew.

As a group we were having a craving.

This craving was Tater Tot Casserole.

Not just any Tater Tot Casserole but Grandma Vicki's Tater Tot Casserole.

We waited patiently for a good 3 weeks before we finally had the means and ability to make it.

After a quick preparation and a good hour and a half of awaiting while it baked in the oven...

Oh the weekend...

This weekend was perfect.

Thanksgiving deliciousness.

Black Friday madness.

A lot of vampire movie watching.

Laughter.

Joy.

Love.

Spending the weekend with the family is always great.

I feel so truly blessed to have this wonderful family.

What would I do without all of you?

I am glad I do not have to have an answer to that question.

I honestly do not know what I would do without my sister.

She is wise beyond her years.

She always knows exactly what to say.

Fashion is a tool for us to use to express ourselves.

It's a way to say this is who I am without saying anything at all.

If you love what you are wearing,

then what else matters?

Why even have silly "fashion rules" at all?

If you love it,

then wear it!

Nobody says that the many colors and texture of nature don't match.

What gives anyone the right to say that our clothes don't match?

There are so many areas in life that this could apply to.

If we got everything we wanted the second we wished,

It's kind of like that saying that says,

I am willing to wait for the worthwhile things of life.

I know that I learn a lot during the waiting process.

Sometimes there are things happening in my life that aren't always the most pleasing.

Sometimes those struggles and trials get in the way and make easy to forget how blessed we really are.

Sometimes you lose a friendship without even realizing it.

You want to get it back but you just aren't quite sure how to go about it.

Finally you just decide that there is no way you cannot have that friendship anymore.

You reach out, say "Hello." "How are you?" "I've missed you." and hope for a positive response.

And when you get a positive response you remember why you knew that friend was so important to you.

Then you plan to hang out again for the first time in ages.

You start panicking that it is going to be an awkward experience.

You hear a knock at the door and know it is them and you take a deep breathe.

The moment you see each other you are so happy and forget why you were ever nervous.

Everything is as if you never parted ways. Everything seems as if you have been constantly talking.

That is a friendship that I am going to fight for.

That is a friendship that I cannot believe I let slip through my fingers.

A friendship that touches you this deep...

Making a Change

I am realizing that things can change in a blink of an eye.

You think you have met your best friend forever but then in a matter of days everything changes and you've become 

strangers.

You love everything about your life and then something changes and all you want is to escape.

You have made up your mind about what to do with your life and then something changes and you want something

 completely different.

But you know what...

And it is a good thing.

You don't realize it at first but along with these changes can come a lot of good.

You lose the best friend you thought you would have forever only to realize that there are other people who have

 cared about you more all along.

You change your mind about your career only to find out what you are really passionate about.

Change is good.  

Why do we all fight change?

I am embracing the changes that I see in my life.

I am learning that all of these changes are really making

 everything better.

These changes are getting me closer to my ultimate goal of being the woman I want to be.
